Extended Hours Program
The Extended Hours Program (EHP) at Congressional School offers fun and educational childcare for students after dismissal. Our qualified staff of trained counselors supervise students and engage them in a variety of activities. After school, students have the opportunity to eat snack, complete homework in study hall (supervised by an EHP counselor), and choose from a variety of activities each day. Activities range from structured, counselor-led activities to unstructured, free choice options (playground, games, projects, puzzles, books, etc.)
The Extended Hours Program operates daily from 3:12 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and is available to students who are enrolled in the program, and to students who need to drop in when needed with advance notice.
In addition to the Extended Hours Program, after school classes are also available. Students may enroll in different classes each trimester. Examples of after school classes include Fit Kids Sports Mix, Pokemon Club, Chess Wizards, Joy of Dance, Robotics, and Equine Lessons among many others. The fee-based after school activities are run by Congressional teachers and staff as well as outside vendors and are very popular.
