FACULTY DEVELOPMENT ENDOWED FUNDS
The John J. Cavanaugh Speaker Series and Faculty Development Endowed Fund was created in 2022 by Head of School Dr. Edwin P. Gordon to honor John Cavanaugh, who has served the Congressional School community for 50 years as a Middle School History and Latin teacher and student advisory group leader. The fund was created to honor Mr. Cavanaugh's extraordinary legacy of service to the School as a faculty member by supporting the professional development of Congressional School faculty members and the recruitment of new ones. This endowment represents an important investment in the School’s faculty members and their remarkable contributions to Congressional students and the broader community.
