FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS

We are committed to offering a well-rounded education for our students, including ample time in the fine and performing arts. In addition to having their own class times, speech, drama, music, and art are integrated throughout the curriculum, often combining with other subject areas for multidisciplinary learning.

The arts are a core part of the Congressional School experience. Creativity is woven into all subjects, not just in dedicated art or music classes. Starting in our earliest grades, students are encouraged to express themselves creatively in every classroom.

You'll see this in action throughout the school. Performance is integrated into social studies and reading, while art is used in science and language arts. Even music is brought into world language classes. This integrated approach helps students unlock the delight, wonder, self-assurance, and out-of-the-box thinking that come with creative achievement.
