INTERNATIONAL DAY AND NIGHT
International Day and Night is set aside for our Congressional family to celebrate and honor the many cultures among our community.
This year, International Day will feature an educational and entertaining performance for our students by Ssuuna, an energetic performer and recording artist from Uganda. We are very much looking forward to Ssuuna's traditional dance, drumming, singing and storytelling about life in East Africa.
In addition to the performance, school lunch will feature an array of foods from countries all over the world including the Philippines, El Salvador, France, and Peru.
International Night is a CSPO (Congressional School Parent Organization) event that truly embodies the diverse cultures that make up our school community. The event opens with a parade of flags from the nations represented at tables that evening. Families prepare delicious foods that represent their cultural heritage and our community is invited to sample all the amazing cuisine. Tickets are sold for this event, which is a fundraiser for the CSPO.
Both events bring together our community to share, celebrate, and learn from each other and are events looked forward to throughout the year.
