Grade 4 Teacher
B.A., American University
M.Ed., Marymount University
Tim joined Congressional in 2002 as a Fourth Grade Teacher. Asked about the fourth grade experience, Tim shares, “By the time they get to me, they’ve honed many basic academic skills, and their confidence in these skills is evident. We can then apply these skills to endeavors across the curriculum. This is also a year when their critical-thinking skills grow so much. They begin to see shades of grey in the academic content, compared to more black-and-white thinking in earlier grades.” Outside of school, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and fly-fishing.
“I truly love working with fourth graders. The combination of a love for learning and a growing maturity makes this age group very special.”
