Kerry Ploetz joined Congressional School in 2019. Before Congressional, she spent two years teaching environmental science and natural history at Long Branch Nature Center in Arlington, inspiring children to appreciate the beautiful outdoors. Kerry has also enjoyed teaching at Burgundy Farm Country Day School in Alexandria as well as teaching overseas in Bulgaria, while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Kerry is originally from Michigan and always gets very excited when it snows in Northern Virginia. In her spare time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids, skiing, hiking, traveling, working on puzzles, and gardening.
