NOTE: Religious and Cultural Observances

Congressional School understands that families practice a variety of religions and observances recognizing diverse holidays. Parents are asked to notify their child’s homeroom teacher or advisor in writing in advance of planned absences or special observances/customs that the child adheres to so that the school can work to support students and families. Students absent from school for religious observances will have an opportunity to make up any missed work and/or tests.

Bikes for the World
Bikes for the World makes good quality used bicycles available to low-income people in developing countries. These reconditioned donated bikes provide an affordable and effective means of transportation, providing essential access to work, school, and social services and empowering individuals and entire communities. Bicycle donations can be made at established drop-off locations.

READ Book Fairy
Volunteer For two hours a month, become a READ Book Fairy, and help deliver books directly to families' homes. As READ grows, they continue to need more Book Fairies. This is a great opportunity for your family to work together, for friends to catch up, or even for some alone time in the car to listen to a great audiobook of your choice!

The Virginia All-State Children's Chorus
Four Congressional students will participate in The Virginia All-State Children's Chorus with 150 students across Virginia on April 26, 2025. The concert will occur at Unity Reed High School in Manassas, VA. When ticket purchasing goes live, a link will be shared if you would like to support them!
