The Foundations for Algebra I course is designed for students entering pre-algebra in the fall. This course provides practice for early concepts and a review of mathematical skills and strategies to explore the intuitive understanding of numbers. Students will develop an early understanding of key concepts leading to theories of linear relationships and probability.
- Develop an understanding for basic definitions in geometry
- Understand special angle relationships and the mathematical consequences of these relationships
- Understand notation in logic in how to deduce if the truth value of statement
- Construct angle and segment proofs
