Kate joined Congressional as our middle school art teacher in 2017. Kate has a Master of Art Education from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Clarion University in Pennsylvania where she specialized in painting and minored in psychology and women’s studies. She has over 14 years of experience teaching art at the elementary and middle school level in schools in the United States and abroad. Kate describes herself as a passionate visual arts educator and emphasizes project-based instruction where students engage in thinking critically, develop ideas, and share conceptual methods.
