John Tato is the Chief Operating Officer of Bluestone Analytics and a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve assigned to U.S. Cyber Command. Prior to joining Bluestone, John worked in a variety of technology and financial services consulting roles. John also served for over nine years on active duty in the U.S. Army as an infantry and military intelligence officer deploying globally to support military operations. While on active duty, John held command and staff positions in conventional and Special Operations units, deploying on three combat rotations – two to Afghanistan and once to the Philippines – and four operational tours – three to Korea and once to Italy. John graduated from Congressional in 1999, and went on to earn a Bachelors in Business Administration from James Madison University, a Master’s in Business Administration from Saint Martin’s University, and a Masters of Science in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University, where he currently teaches Strategy and Leading Change courses in the Applied Analytics graduate program.
