Jackie Rose joined the Congressional family in August of 1988 as a 1st grader and is a 1996 graduate of Congressional School. She also spent many of her high school and college summers as a counselor at Congressional Camp. After graduate school, Jackie moved to North Carolina and taught Biology, Earth Science, and Physical Science at the High School level, both in traditional classroom and online settings, and Anatomy and Physiology at the local Community College for 6 years. After returning to Northern Virginia in May of 2013, Jackie joined the camp team once again as the Camp Registrar before transitioning to a full-time, school employee in August 2013. Before taking on the role as Registrar, Jackie spent 2 years as the Business Office Administrator. In addition to teaching in North Carolina, she coached both Indoor and Outdoor Track and was ecstatic to be able to continue her coaching career with the Congressional Cross Country and Track teams. Getting to spend time with the athletes and build relationships during practice and meets is the highlight of her day.
Outside of school, Jackie and her family are avid Auburn Tiger fans as well as Disney fanatics, and she is always planning her next trip. In addition, she and her husband Kevin have a daughter, Avery, who is continuing the family legacy and is currently a student at Congressional.
“I grew up at Congressional, and it is wonderful to be able to do my part to ensure that our students are having incredible experiences, and creating lasting memories, as part of the Congressional Family.”
