Chris Pryor joined the Congressional community in 2011 as a parent. His two children, Emma and Andy, both started at four months old in the Early Childhood program and are currently in Grades 2 and 4. He enjoys playing tennis, watching English Premier League soccer, and exploring the outdoors with his family.
In 2014, Chris decided to join his children from Flint Hill School where he served as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid. Prior to Flint Hill School, Chris was the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at Highland School (VA) and the Associate Director of Admission for Leysin American School in Switzerland.
As Assistant Head of School for Advancement and External Affairs at Congressional School, Chris oversees development, marketing, communications, and works on a variety of strategic projects. He also partners closely with the Congressional School Parent Organization (CSPO) and numerous volunteers around campus.
A member of the Association of Independent Schools of Great Washington’s (AISGW) development committee and the former chair of AISGW’s admission committee, Chris enjoys serving the independent school community. Recently, Chris taught for Independent School Management’s (ISM) Advancement Academy in San Diego, CA and Leesburg, VA, as well as presented at conferences both locally and nationally.
